IP Address Answered

I was wondering if I could get into a computer with no access to the computer that you want to get into? I was thinking about an ip address. I want to use this to get back at a hacker that almost destroyed my computer!! (Thanks Norton for giving me his ip) he he he. Please answer

. I don't think Ibles is really the appropriate place to discuss breaking into other ppls' computers. Googling hacking DIY or omputer cracking DIY might turn up a site for such discussions.

. BTW, if your nemesis is on dial-up, his/her IP address probably changes every time they log on.

Yes, within a range.....the only use then of such an address is to locate the person for the authorities....if one could prove they had been hacked by said person...

almost every time you turn off your modem you get a new ip address so even if you could do something you might be hurting some one innocent instead of your "hacker" what did he do?

yea but if a hacker had a static ip he would have to be stupid (or running a server :) he is probably behind an onion router

I think you'd have to get them to download something, or open an email.

Your best bet for revenge is to gather your evidence and then send it to the company that let him get to you (say, his email provider or ,better, his ISP).
