Ideas for waterproof palm m500 case mod? Answered

I want to make a new body for my palm m500. (old but beloved) The motherboard and chips and everything are on a single slab. (http://www.directfix.com/category/_M5TAKEAPART.html) I want to make a slim (around 0.46 inches, the original thickness) case that is waterproof (as in i can use it in a swimming pool) and shock resistant, but i'm clueless about what materials to use. any ideas? i sort of want to do this on a shoestring budget...

plastic bag or clear ballon, and fill with epoxy. leave the cord for the palm plugged in when doing this, otherwise you wont be able to use that again.

iphone otterbox.

this is the easiest/ cheapest options. I build underwater ROV's so i have some more answers, but im not sure what you are looking for, and a lot of them will require machining.

i sort of only have access to household materials, like plastic baggies and toilet paper and stuff... we might have some silicone caulk

and what i want to try is less of like a slip case and more of a permanent new shell...
