Is it possible to use a 75MHz am radio receiver with a 27 MHz am transmitter if i match the crystals? Answered

I fried the 27mhz receiver by accidentally reversing the polarity and i had the 75mhz laying around.  I was wondering if putting the 27mhz receiver crystal in the 75 mhz reciever would work.  Thanks in advance for your answers.

Probably not. There's more to it than just the crystal. Other components that make up the various stages of filters and oscillators would also need to be changed. How fried is your 27MHz receiver? And you identify any parts that are obviously blown, that could be replaced?

Second time, eh? That could mean some other part in there is not happy, and is causing things to blow up. So how did you fix it the first time?
