Is there a way to exclude terms from a search on Instructables? Answered

do as nachomahma says, then put the minus (-) before the words you dont want example....enter this below in google search instructables cars -toyota should bring up all cars in instrucables except those with the word toyota

. No, but you can use Google and add "site:instructables.com" which limits the search to Ibles. See also Google's Advanced Search form.

Most search engines will let you put a minus sign in front of words that you want to exclude - so to exclude the word cats search for animals -cats Give this a try :)

instructables inclues those with a minus sign...something else is needed.

You are right, my apologies! I am afraid that's the only exclusion trick I know of ...:(

I jumped on this really quick, and typed your answer almost verbatim ;) then I popped a new tab, tried it, and noticed it found MORE of the excluded term than the included term... I thought "nix that, let someone else answer"
