Knex video camera holder (TNKIT entry) Answered

This is a knex video camera holder I threw together in like 5 minutes.  The original one failed and also used too many parts.

This camera can be either used with a quad pod, or be mounted on most 5 layer thick knex guns with addons.

The camera is easy to put in and take out, but when its in, you can't make it fall out.  Surprisingly, it's very sturdy, and can be used as an FPS view in a knex war and an alternate scope.

I was gonna add yellow  rods into the midsection like I did with the sides, but I ran out of red connectors, so I couldn't.  Just pretend they are there.

Tsk tsk tsk a pink pencil in the background..

Cool, but I would want a plastic shield to put in front of the lens to prevent scratching in the event that it gets shot at.

Agree, but that couldn't be knex and would lower quality maybe. (If its dirty)

Get some plastic from a store, tape it on.  There is no "See through" knex, unless you count those clear rods, but then again, they are not transparent.

this would bee awesome in a war!

Are there twistable knex that form into different shapes (knex novice question)?  If so, you could try making a gorillapod type holder, something with legs, that you could attach to different surfaces.

Yes, there are "Bendy rods" that are flexible. But you can't really stick it to surfaces, and they aren't sturdy enough to support this.

Hmm I kind of like the idea but I wouldn't use it in a war unless you build in some sort of plastic shield to protect the camera. Otherwise it would make for a pretty cool digital scope attachment, not that you'd be able to hit anyone far enough to need to zoom but still.

Just get a clear plastic cover or something.  I do have a knex "Net" of sorts, but it has big holes that you could easily shoot past, and the bars on the net can obstruct the lens.

Mounting it on the stock of a gun like the knexsayer is always an option.

Nice. 4*
Although I generally don't like this sorta thing, due to the fact that not everybody's cameras are the same size. Still good though.

Yeah, You can just change the rods up to fit the camera.  This happens to be a bit too big for the camera I used, but it still fits snugly.

Its not THAT big.  Its just SLIGHTLY bigger than it, you can't really notice it until after a bit of use.

Yeah, the most it does is wiggle oh so slightly.  Some parts of it fit it perfectly, but the camera's design is not boxy.  It still works well.

Not bad. Is this your final TNKIT entry?

No, I mean:

Is this your final product?

Oh yeah, Ive turned Pro :)

What?  No, its not my final knex item.

You do get what I mean right?

If not, then here:

Is the your finished product of the camera holder? or is it just a prototype?
