What can the Fretlight do? Why does it hook up to a computer? Does it teach you or just run lights?

it runs the lights. and you put your finger(s) at the lights, it plugs in your comptuer and lights up the fret that it's using.

Sounds simple enough. Seems pretty sweet. I just checked there site and there having a 50% of their acoustic model. Down to 199.95. Does any one have one, the acoustic or other? Is it worth it at that price? Seems like at the original price it would be worth it.

You're right, absolutely not related to what you're talking about.

build your own guitar, and when building the neck drill holes for the leds and wires and if you want a switch one for the switch too, then make a simple cuircuit, and voila, your led-necked guitar!

Hard to say, for sure. The lead singer's shirt fluoresces, too (sometimes in sync with the guitar), so it could be a pulsing UV spotlight.

no I say an inter view on tv about a year ago (when the video first came out) and HE showed how he had a switch and through the song he turned it on and off!

. Then I'd guess that oogitsmelol is on the right track. But I think replacing the dots with fluorescing plastic would be much easier (and much safer for the guitar).

vai did that too:

but he had the whole suit too, so it was cooler.

you could drill out the fret markers like whatisface said, then possibly run a wire down with the truss rod (depends on how its made). of course you would have to install a battery pack too.

You want a how to? You'd have to be drilling into your guitar neck and running wires through it. Not really safe unless you know what you're doing.

my dad my be getting a new guitar so I won't have to worry about ruining a good guitar because the one I have is CRAP
