Nahhh you're fine :)

It can be lethal, it's a bit like chlorine in terms of chemical properties I think. Use a bit of ventalation and you should be perfectly fine!

What's that smell? Does it smell a bit cool and refreshing?

Ozone in high concentrations can be lethal. Short exposures to the tiny amounts in your arc are just unpleasant.

Sunlight creates ozone at ground level, especially near the sea.

I'm not the one that asked the question, but am wondering:

That "cool, refreshing, yet kind of weird" smell that comes from ionizers (or his (Jacob's Ladder?)) is the ozone, or the negative ions?

I've heard that the ozone that comes out is dangerous in high quantities can slowly dissolve plastic too

I love the smell of LOFFT (Lethal Ozone From Flyback Transformer). That smell. That ozone smell. It smells like high voltage victory.

Does it smell like a photocopier?

That's ozone, but you'll be fine if you keep the space ventilated, preferably with the air flowing from you to the device to the the outside.
