Life size ED 209 from robocop 1987 Answered

Hi all, so I have decided to build a life sized ED 209, the killer robot from the film Robocop (1987),

for a long time I have been toying with the Idea of making a life sized ED 209 and recently Make had an article on Shaun Thornson who made a life sized ED which has inspired me to go for it, so far I am about 50% done on making the first set of master moulds.

if you can help at all, even by sharing this on facebook it would help, here is the facebook page for progress

Making some real progress with this build check out the pics on the facebook page

Currently checking from work, where FB is blocked - could you add a few here?

I will put up an update here shortly, but in the mean time heres a trick from an ex IT Engineer.

just put the site in the box and off you go, I use it on client sites to get round firewall rules and such.

Hehe, that website is blocked as well...

did you manage to add your self to the facebook page? there has been a lot of updates

Thanks for the reminder, I just went and did it.

Looking very promising!

no problem, and thanks, should be ready before halloween as I have a Con to go to in eastbourne, Wyntercon last weekend of October if your interested

Cool. I'll see if I can get there...

Damn where do you work the MOD? I did add a few if you go to the forum page for this you will see my updates and photos.

but you have to go on the page when you get home and like it to keep up to date.

It's a school - sometimes, depending what topics are showing, even the forums here get blocked (those K'Nexers have a lot to answer for...)

I have attached some pics here of the master moulds most painted in primer they need their prototype colour to make them gloss and red. these moulds will be used to make fibre glass moulds so I can make fibre glass copies so they are lightweight and hard wearing.

I have also included a graphical representation of progress the green parts show what master moulds have been made so far and what's outstanding.

I am sooo looking forward to seeing this finished!

Please try and remember to drop me a PM when it's about to go live!
