Make Blog seeking Instructables Stories Answered

Make is looking for Instructable-related stories and experiences that you have yet to tell the world for sharing on the venerable Make Blog.

Gareth Branwyn writes:

We at Maker Media are thrilled to announce that we're going to be doing a Best of Instructables, Volume 1. As part of the book, we want to get the Instructables community involved in choosing some of their favorite projects. (...) We're also looking for build experiences and stories surrounding Instructables projects. If you built a project and have some thoughts about it (that you've yet to post to the project's page) or an interesting story about an Instructable (it got you a date, got your arrested, helped you survive for days in the Australian outback, made you a hero in the eyes of your kids, etc.) please send them to me, gareth (@makezine.com), or you can also post them here in the comments.

T shirt for Goodhart!!! Tshirt for Goodhart!!!

I fourth!...ify....inate...timate.....that!

Haha, thanks for the update.

I nullify that.

I hereby null and void your nullification.

I second that nullification.

I thirdify the nullification of LL's nullification. *heh. heh*

Lol! I keep it in my library for future reference-ification.

Now we're starting to sound like the president!

And I'll seventhifinate Keki's comment...

Yay! I've already started 3 radical movements!

Hmm, maybe Adrian could write something about Goodhart's T-shirt...

Why? Modesty? Stagefright? Fear of Monk producers nagging you about copyright?

A combination of all three, plus I just really am not comfortable with having any words of mine in print for...personal/social reasons, shall we say.

Ms. Monk, is it not true that you said the following.....

You are obsessed with that kid. But, I agree with the second one, your cartoons would be a good topic.

*waits for something about skate6566* *Crickets chirp* Darn it!

1289 minutes later...announcer voice
*still waits for something about skate6566*
*Crickets go to bed*

It looks like someone wants to be in the book pretty badly.

and uses small text to make hints at it. :-). Just kidding. Sorta. Lol

Haha. There should be a whole section with The Bot Side.

I'm not sure how much of it would get lost outside of the community though. You would have had to be in some of the forums to get a lot of the jokes.

I refuse to agree or second anything until the Goodhart T-shirt thing is accepted.

Oh! Another thing. Maybe there could be stories about some of the ridiculous threads that come up in the forums. Just look at the thread Keith-Kid started right here. Lol.

Excuse me, but I am quite proud of what I cause!

I didn't think you'd be offended by that. Lol.

The instructions say build experiences and stories surrounding Instructables projects. Goodhart's t-shirt would be a great one, because it utilized the Instructables project interface to coordinate it.

You (caitlinsdad) should email gareth to see if he accepts a story such as the Bot Side.

I'd like to see a story about families on instructables (Kiteman and Kitewife, LinuxH4x0r TuxGirl and LinuxMom) maybe?
