You don't like pie? What about all those recipes you made?

Oh, I've revealed too much! I knew the day would come!

Truth is, I like to make pie.  I just don't like to eat it.   I also did not enjoy that cupcake pictured above.  I do this for all of you.

Of course I meant that not only was the act sweet, but the treat was sweet also.

Joke explained isn't a joke anymore. *sniff*

Well I wanted to be sure he didn't take it in the "wrong way" and think I was making a crude comment or something.

Fair enough, I know you enough (despite the fact I've never seen you) to know you are not profane in any way shape or form.

I suppose, but then, I was also reassuring the "lady" we were speaking of and any that are "associated" with her (as well as Zascecs) :-) Sometimes I say and do things that are very easily interpreted the wrong way. I have been doing this since I was young and haven't been able to really "outgrow it" *sigh*

Yes, I did find out that, if your spouse or girl friend asks: Does this dress make me look fat?

That you DON'T answer by saying: "It's NOT the dress's fault" LOL

"Hey, leave that dress alone. It would be quite becoming upon some one else."

That is interesting to me. Is it the fruit, made overly sweet in the pies that you don't care for, or maybe the fruit in a crust that is the problem. I am not mocking, I am interested in what makes a pie unsavory to you. Because I like so many different foods, I am always curious as to what it is about some foods, that people dislike.

I think it's the overly sweetness, combined with doughy crusts.
I love me some coconut cream pie, and grasshopper pie (which I will learn how to make one day), but neither involve fruit, and the grasshopper pie usually comes with a chocolate graham cracker crust. But I don't mind a fruit crumble or cobbler in small amounts. And I like savory pies, like pot pie and pasties. So I'm not really sure. . .

Thanks for answering. At one time I didn't like (or thought I didn't like) Mince Meat pies, just from the looks of them but have since changed my attitude about them and all other foods, after trying one.

I don't care for overly "sweet" foods either though (candy is almost all "out"). Given a choice between a great candy bar and a nicely made casserole or steak, I'd leave the candy every time.

But I do prefer a well made fruit pie over most cakes.

it does look like an unfortunate end for a smurf; smurf sandwich. *giggle*

It was a rather unfortunate-looking killer clown, actually.

Well then thanks! 'Cause those are some good recipes!
