My most used source for quality motors, controllers, and converters. Answered

Herbach & Rademan

I have found them to be pricey sometimes, but they deliver a good product, or did so that last time I bought from them.

Occasionally, American Science and Surplus carries usable stuff too, but they must be watched as far as "WHAT" they are selling you. Sometimes you are not getting what you might think you are. Caveat emptor!

depends on what kind of motor, I use electronic goldmine all electronics or ebay and rarely something else

Meh. Not impressed. Sorry but they just don't seem that special. I prefer scavenging for stuff (like how I plan to get dc motors from a forklift)

And waht area do you live in then because in my area there is no salvage parts to grab. The sites though i might try.

Santa fe, NM Theres stuff everywhere. You just need to know where to look. Where do you live?

phila, PA but some of the places to get scrap and that is kinda hard to get tonow these days.

I heard of that place I'll try it out. Sorry for the bother I am not a really huge fan Internet buys .

The second link is all free stuff :D

Well, I don't have many options in the scavenging dept. :-) there are no dumpsters for miles I have found lots of motors at the specs I needed though, through them. It all depends on need I guess.

Lots of nice stuff. I might have to start using this ( My parents don't let me scavenge :(. )

The American S & S ? Yeah, they have a LOT of junk, all perfectly good stuff, except some of it is more incomplete then one might think.....I got a set of 4-5 "radiation" sensors (sealed in a plastic case, that needed special equipment to read levels), that are unusable as far as I know. But I got my 6 inch wide IR filters from them too :-)
