New Features? Answered

Is there going to be a blog post documenting the new features? I like the new interface, but it will take a few days to get used to. There are a few bugs here and there. Like when I click Tool Tips Group, I get to a page where there are no projects. Also, post counts seem to be a little out of whack. Each visit seems to raise it by 10.

There will be - once we find all the new features ourselves!

I think the blog RSS is broken, it's not loading any more.

What URL are you using? Did you subscribe to it a while back, or click a link - if so, what page was the link on?

We're phasing out the news blog, as more people see things when we post to the forums instead. Update your rss reader to use https://www.instructables.com/forums/rss.xml - but wait until next week, I'm sorry to say that our last release broke that feed! But we'll fix it shortly.

The forum feed is working again, as well as a couple others with the same problem. Let me know if you find any other broken feeds!

Instructables feeds are fine, as are Groups feeds; Forums feed got broken. Oops!

Did I miss it or can you no longer rate Instructables?

The rating button is to the right, in the statistics box. You'll notice also that there is no longer a "-" button.

Thanks. I think that removal of the minus button was a good idea.

Here is something I just now came across: while editing my unpublished instructable, I clicked in the Try the New Editor hotlink and got:

I've just looked at the Share the Love contest pages, and the sorting isn't working:

Views link
Rating link

(See screenshots for the odd ordering)

Fixed! Thanks for catching that.

I was concerned at first--I couldn't find the Forums link. Then I realized that there was a Community button...

Yeah, I hit home thinking it was "you", and went to the instructables trying to hit the forums link... I guess habit just kind of put my pointer where it was supposed to be without even reading it.

Yeah, I was a little confused. :P I do like the new contest page layout, though, how the projects are arranged. :) But I can't see the ratings right now, just a blank page!

That link has been fixed. It was using a link for the old system.

In the last two minutes, the hit count went from 2179, to 2249.

I found a new one, the emails are now from Instructables Robot, not robot@instructables. Has anyone seen why the post count is so high on this topic? Is it a bug?

It seems as though every time I visit, the post count goes up 10.

As well as on other forum topics.

Oh! New features - I thought I'd broken something again.
