New maker tool: Makey Makey Answered

I found this on Reddit and it looks like an awesome tool. I allows you turn almost anything in to a button and it can work as an audrino. It a kickstarter project that is already fully funded.

Looks interesting...

This was just featured by a Kickstarter Rep on our Noon News. (He was a guest talking about Kickstarter). Some of the other builds (coming off this concept), are really cool.

I saw this in new scientist.
I did some research and found that it works on high resistance switching ie. you hold 1 clip, and short it through a high resistance object (eg. a banana) to the other clip.
Using the right electronics to drive a transistor, you could us an 'awesome button' type set up for custom action keypads (eg. open facebook or media player).
gotta admit it's good, original and fairly cheap, but i'm waiting for someone on here to make a more open source version.

I am really surprised that no one has commented on this. It seems like a great tool and pair it with say a raspberry pi and you could have a really cool mobile set up.
