No verification image for posting comments Answered

I'm on a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.7.5, using Safari 6.0.5
I can't post a comment because the captcha/anti-spam image and the box for entering it doesn't appear. I can type in my comment, but when I hit the post button, I get the message "Please type the two words as seen on image" No image, no place to type it.

This is the project page I was on: https://www.instructables.com/id/Cheap-easy-low-waste-platform-bed/?ALLSTEPS

Same problem if I go to the original project page with Step 1 only.

Thanks, Jerry

When I want to comment, and press "post", a box pops up to type the 2 words on the image. There's no place to type anything......also, I don't see 2 words. I also use Mac. Ctrl/0 or Command/0 does nothing.

That sometimes happens when you have an old cookie from the last time you logged in, or having a browser add-on that stops the page from loading completely. You can try

-Disabling any script blocking add-ons to your browser, like Ad-Block, GreaseMonkey, or LastPass
-Making sure you have cookies enabled for your browser
-Clearing your browser's cache

After, refresh Instructables.com and try logging in again.

Do you have any browser add-ons (like AdBlock, GreaseMonkey, or LastPass) running which could be preventing the page from loading?

Also, the Captcha could be hiding behind the comment box. Make sure your browser window is set to the default (ctrl+0).

Did that help?

I disabled AdBlock and Ghostery, logged out of LastPass, and reloaded the page. Still no Captcha. I don't know about the Ctrl-0 command-- is that Windows or Mac (which I'm on).

The Mac equivalent is command+0 (apple key + 0).

Any browser add on is going to cause trouble. If you're still having troubles you can try another browser.
