Oompa-Loompa's Phun creations Answered

Using the "Phun Physics Sandbox" program I created a few quality models.... enjoy. This forum will be updated every time I create a new post-worthy contraption. MotoCycle - A detailed motorcycle with shocks. MotoCycle_Penned - Self explanatory for Phun Savvy 'Iblers. Cool_Catapult - Semi-automatic catapult with a firing lever and destructable wall target. Offroad_Jeep - Cool detailed model of a jeep with enhanced suspension, however unrealistic the suspension may be due to its odd angle. Crashcar_2.0 - My second attempt at a crashcar that came out really sweet. This is one of my favorites!!! With decapitation-action crash dummy!!! Button of Mystery - Just a silly contraption I created one day while I was bored. HumveeInteractive_FINAL - A really cool little Humvee with various interactive parts. For some reason this seems to have a low density, although it's not any less than my other projects. -Note- that all controls for the contraptions are described in the info bar of the file, which pops up when you go to save the file.

I think that you could eliminate the extension problems by simply uploading a ZIP containing the .phn files.

Right-click the folder containing the files, hover over "Send To," and select "Compressed (zipped) Folder."

But these aren't all of the files in that folder, and I don't want to release the others.

What do I do with these TMPs?

Go into the file properties by right clicking the file and choosing the "properties" option. You should see the name of the file followed by a .tmp.... take off the tmp and add phn to the end of it. You'll probably get a message warning you about the consequences of changing the file extension, ignore this.

You can't just change the name in some cases, so be sure to do exactly as I described after you download them and have located them in your computer's files. I'm almost certain you already have, but I just want to double check. I'm running XP, so I am not sure if a different system will work differently in this scenario.

You have file.tmp. Rename it to file.phn, then it's usable by PHUN.

Do I have to save it? If so, how? If I don't have to save, where do I right click, because it won't let me change it.

Right click on the file itself and you should get the option to go into the file's properties. You should see the name, all you need to do is retype the .tmp as .phn, and when you click "ok", you'll probably get a pop-up message. You can just "ok" this too. v You don't need to save anything, it will automatically.

It won't let me change the name. When you say right-click the file itself do you mean the link on this page? Or do you mean when I click the link on this page I should right click all those codes?

After you download the file, find it on your computer and right click it.

I understand that, but how do I download it. When I click on it all it does is bring me to a page of codes

Hmmm, I don' know what that is, but it shouldn't happen. I can't help you with that because I'm not experienced with that stuff sorry.

Okay, so I figured out how to download it and I changed it to a .phn but now everytime I try to open it, it tells me"To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it."

Ooooh ok, you see, I have NO clue what happened there. Have you tried just choosing Phun from that list? And if all else fails, make sure you spelled the extensions correctly. I'm really sorry but that is not my area of expertise.
