Project for Children Answered

I am looking to do a fairly simple children's gardening project at a Green Fair that is being held in March.  In the past, the group has had the kids transplant seedlings.  Does anyone have any ideas?  I think that there must be much better "quick" projects.

Hmmm well what about making a peanut butter jar terrarium? Or really any plastic jar would probably work great. It's a great way to upcycle the jars and if you did something like a succulent for a plant they're pretty hardy and the jars don't require much set up. Also in my experience such set ups can survived being dropped as long some amount of jars clean up happens with in a week or so. There's an instructable here: https://www.instructables.com/id/Succulent-Terrariu...
that has some great information on succulent terrariums. You could just leave out the LED light and drilling process to make a quick simple terrarium.
