Raspberry Pi Answered

Hello everyone I wanted some suggestions from the users of raspberry pi on where to start after getting the raspberry pi. I've searched the web and found a lot of things, but they weren't exactly beginners friendly. I am upgrading from an Arduino to a Raspberry pi and the difference between them is enormous. Arduino seemed a lot more welcoming and easier compared to Raspberry pi. So do you guys have some tips or places to start from for me? Any help is appreciated. Thank You

Have you looked into the official raspi forums or check out if adafruit has a discussion group on that? The raspi is really suited for more complex projects and then you get into dealing with Linux and programming in python or other advanced languages. To me, it also represents an increased cost in getting the stuff or accessories that you want to add to your setup to start experimenting, OLED displays, bluetooth, wireless, sensors, etc. My hobby right now is just trying to get a bunch of LEDs lit up with Arduinos but I guess further down the line would think about making a tweeting gps enabled toilet or something. Good luck.
