I used a regular graphite pencil. For the paper, I'm not so sure what you would call the type :o it was from a sketchbook I have. And yes I'm still practicing drawing hands, that's the part I would say I struggle with the most. I think I didn't spend enough time on the bird though, I'll have to fix that :P But thank you very much for the tips :)

I think it is quite good. I agree with Caitlinsdad's evaluations and suggestions also i.e. although it is REALLY GOOD, it can be improved on.

Very nice. Is this from your imagination or from a model? What kind of pencil did you use, regular paper? The shading and blending is nice. The hair detail and clothes draping flows. The finger creases may need some more deliniation, I know drawing hands in perspective is tough. The bird is too rounded in shape, maybe you could pick up some technique in drawing feathers. Otherwise, a nice job. btw, if you scanned in your art, play around with the contrast or white balance settings on the scanner software or image-editing software that you pull it into. You can adjust it so you don't get the pinkish or off-white color of the scan and get a pure black and white or greyscale drawing. Thanks for sharing.
