Re- Entering an Instructable? Answered

Are we able to re-enter a past instructable into a new Contest if we essentially re-write the instructable write up and re-submit it?

Don't do it. The goal of a contest is to spur the creation of new instructables, not ones that already exist.

I asked a similar question directly of the Staff a while ago.

If you want to enter an "old" project into a new contest, your re-written Instructable needs to be a significant improvement on the original. If you're going to use the same project, same images, then forget it. You need to remake the actual item.

If the contest rules require an "new" instructable then just rewriting an old one probably would not satisfy the requirements. If you made considerable changes and improvements it probably would.

The point of the contests are to advertise something and get more NEW instructables in a certain category.

Admins probably wouldn't have a problem if you delete the first one. You lose all your stats though.
