Resin epoxy jewelry question: I messed up the proportions and need to redo. How to clean up the soft epoxy? Answered

The colored resin-epoxy mix was poured into a bezeled siver shape. It is my first attempt with resin.

Paint stripper will completely dissolve expoxy

If it's still soft enough, add a little bit more catalyst. It'll harden up and come out of the mold the way it was supposed to in the first place. It'll be ugly, but the extra catalyst should firm it up enough to remove. Just don't overdo it.

If you can get to the shops before it hardens, like steve says - some chemical solvent is what you need.
Other than acetone, you might use cellulose thinners, nastier & probably more expensive, but I'd expect them to be effective. Or "nail-varnish remover", which tends to be acetone / ethyl acetate (as far as I remember)

If its still soft, and the items will take it, I'd use acetone. Its a powerful solvent for plastics, and very volatile, so be carefull with it. Its sometimes called "gun cleaner", and paint-shops use it - a local one might let you have a pint if you ask nicely.
