Stony Brook Mini Maker Faire Answered

Stony Brook University will be hosting our first annual Mini Maker Faire on Saturday April 20, 2013.
This event will be open to the public, and is planned for Stony Brook Universities expected students day. We expect a big turn out with a lot of people, specifically new students and their families, on and off campus students, community members, and more!!

We currently have an open call to local Makers, scientists, engineers, and Crafters alike.
If you would like to take part in this great event, either holding a table, doing a demo/presentation, or giving an interesting talk please reply here and I will get back to you with all the information needed to get involved.
Also, if you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will get back to you asap!

We are looking for anyone with fun projects, great ideas, and more!

Do PM(private message) someone on ibles staff like wilgubeast or jessyratfink. They should be able to get some promotional materials for you to hand out (robot stickers - go for the t-shirts or an old copy of Autocad)or something like free PRO for educators and hackergroups that might be there. Good luck.

Thank you, I am already talking with a wonderful ibles staff member who has a box of goodies shipped out! Cant wait, now just looking to fill up as many tables for projects and fun things as possible! I dont know where you live, but if you close by to Long Island and have some fun projects you can show of maybe we can set you up a table. (If youd want to of course!)

Sorry, but that day is booked. It's still a drive out from Brooklyn to the middle of the island. Try to PM ledartist. He showed at NY Maker Faire and has a lot of cool LED stuff. He might be interested as he also markets his project kits. Try to contact the fine folks at adafruit.com. They have educator programs and ex-Make magazine people like Becky Stern over there.

Thank you, I will try and get in touch with Ledartist and adafruit.com ^.^

Our registration form is up and ready. If you are interested in holding a booth at our Mini Maker Faire please follow this link to register for your table! ^.^
