What do you think the best kind of duct tape is:
1) Duck Tape
3) Gorilla Tape
I want to get some of that tape the NASCAR guys use. Anybody know what it is?
I think it is Duck tape. or as in Quack Quack.
i like intertape AC50 its incrediblly strong and comes in rolls of 120 yards.and incredibly strong. i used nashua and i hate it, its soft and pulls apart horribly and it stinks
if you don't plan on trying to get it off whatever you are putting it on, go with Gorilla tape. holds like all hell...
I like nashua.. I find other brands aren't sticky enough. Lee valley sells Heavy Duty duct tape that looks great, but I've never tried it. Heavy Duty Tape
IMO, As long as it's grey on the outside, white on the inside and holds the Universe together, it's the right stuff. Seriously, I buy the cheapest stuff at the checkout of Home Depot and am never disappointed.
There is actually super cheap duct tape at walmart. I've never tried it though. I didnt really get a close look at it eiter. 5 normal sized rolls cost about $10 I think.
I got this book for xmas:Ductigami
I prefer Duck Tape, it holds the best for my projects and comes in the best colors I've seen in tape
if your makeing a wallet DON'T get the cheap stuff its all gooey and makes your credit cards black and nasty and makes your cloths gross and your money ect.
In fact my fav tape is electrical I use it ALOT
There is SOME duct tape I've seen at the cheaper stores (big lots, etc) that seems to have weaker fabric reinforcement, or perhaps no such reinforcement at all. I would think that should be avoided for most applications...
Then there's the solid aluminum duct tape for areas that get particularly hot...
I've got mixed feelings about things like gorilla tape. If you need something strong than regular duct tape, maybe you shouldn't be using tape...
gorilla tape isnt true duck tape its more like its cousin, like gaffers tape
