US Army Uniform Info? Answered

I recently purchased a US Army Corporal's uniform. I have the full uniform, excluding the belt and the tie. I have some questions I hope somebody can answer. I bought it at GoodWill, (a thrift store) so it is missing a few pieces. Some of the things I would like to know about it are:
-What is it missing?
-Where can I find these things?
-When was it made/in use?
- Why does the armored division patch not have a division number?
-What are the numbers on the inside of the collar?
-Where can I find more information on this?
Any information is helpful, thanks in advance.

by the way, how much did it cost you, and what is the size?

I bought it for $30 with two pairs of pants (one pair tan and the other green) and a tan shirt. Not sure about the size.

I was at a Model Horse show (no, I didn't want to be there, but I am my wife's Chauffer) and this one older army fellow railed on and on about this fellow wearing a uniform with metals and how ILLEGAL it was....I don't know if he was correct or not, but he seemed awfully upset.

You asked, "Why does the armored division patch not have a division number?" Some Google searching for "armored insignia,"armored shoulder flash," and so, eventually got me to http://www.usarmypatches.com/Armor.htm.

It turns out that that patch (http://www.usarmypatches.com/Collect/Armored/Armd%20Headquarters.gif) was for the Armored Force headquarters personnel, and not for a specific division.

"Armored Force" was createdad hoc prior to WWII, and was eventually renamed the U.S. Army Armor Center (now headquartered at Fort Knox, KY, but moving to Fort Benning, GA in September 2011).

you have a technitian grade 4 (not a corporal)wwii armoured infantry service coat. they were worn for dress, not combat. the numbers are the army serial number of the owner- 9first letter of last name-last 4 numbers of asn). You can find these at military shows and such. To complete it you would have a wool service shirt, wool service pants, kahki wool mohair tie, webtrouser belt, a wool overseas cap, and service boots. Email me at qball51@gmail.com and i can answer any more questions.
