Uni-sport silicone spray? Answered

I'm just wanting to ask you guys if Uni-Sport silicone spray is 100% pure and NOT petroleum based. Just wanting to know so I can use it with my GBB airsoft rifle. If you can answer this thanks a lot!

just guessing but I would assume that it has some sort of petroleum based propellant in it as the can says "EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE" and I don't believe that pure silicone would be flammable. Also because it says it's good for bicycle chains, I would think there would be some sort of catalyst that would help carry the true lubricant into different parts of the chain.

You may want to check out a silicone based o-ring lubricant. I remember using it when working on pumps for pools and hot tubs. Possibly a local pool/spa company may be able to help you out.

I bet there is rarely many pure products these days.

Does it not say on the can?

Test it on a piece of plastic that is not your gun and see if it damages it.
