Weird glitch in "Answers" Answered

I was surfing Instructables as a "non-member" on our new laptop today, which doesn't have many passwords installed. The Answers side bar had a older question I'd previously responded to, so I followed the link...

RE: this Answer thread:

My response with the schematic links was not present (added two or three days ago.) Several browser refreshes didn't matter. But it's certainly still visible on my normal computer. I'm drafting this bug report there...

Both computers are running Firefox 3.0.6. I went back and checked the laptop a second time (was shut down between) and disabled Adblock Plus (I don't ible ads on my main PC.)

But no dice, still doesn't display.

I use AdBlocker too as well as NoScript and it's been known to do things like that. However, after I add the site to the safe "white list" it usually fixes the problem. In your case the problem seems to have gone away on it's own. You may want to check into an online virus scan just to be safe. I cannot imagine what would have caused that to happen. I haven't seen any of the transient pop-up things you speak of. Of course NoScript probably has a lot to do with that. I cannot recommend that extension enough. It's done wonders to keep my surfing add free.

I've been thinking about using NoScript myself. I'll consider this a recommendation. ;-)

Re: this particular glitch-- this thread in Answers indicates that a bug might have indeed crawled in, at least for a while.

The answer thread looks ok to me - both logged in, and logged out. Let me know if the links are still missing on your end.

OK, just checked the laptop, and the thread looks as it should. Logged in or not, all the responses are there. So..? Maybe one of those transient things that pop up during development...
