It's "wreak" havoc...

Good grief, you'd think I joined the Grammar Police!

FAIL It should be 'It's "wreak" havoc…' so, i guess you don't need to worry about joining the grammar police?

HAHAHA! You are wrong! You only use a single quote in a double quote! Ex: 'It's 'wreak' havoc…"

No, i am not wrong, the quotes she used are perfectly acceptable, my point was in relation to the three periods. Also, do not go digging up old topics, its annoying, and a waste of our time.

Sure, I'll join the group now. Do you think it's fine posting model guns? such as my shotty (other guns are linked below video)?

?! I...didn't...fail...I did it exactly as you just said...although you forgot to capitalize the s in "so" and also used a lowercase "i" to refer to yourself. So, maybe I should say... FAIL.

Reply 10 years ago

Ok you got me on the 'i', but the s was a continuation of the sentence, with the quote being on a separate line. Either way, you still failed with the original post.

How? How did I fail with the original post? It was correct.

Your punctuation, you used three full points (...) instead of the proper 3 dot character (…) - Here they are one above the other, ... - Wrong … - Correct If your going to correct people's grammar/punctuation, prepare to be flamed.

*shrug*

I have no idea how to make the "three dot character"-everyone I've ever known just types three periods as I did. Thank you for pointing that out-I had no idea I was doing it wrong.

Well, I normally don't correct things, but that was such a large error that I did.

And I completely agree, one must be ready to take what one dishes out.

Its actually a specific separate symbol ... . . . … <- correct one

But the first and third look exactly the same, and on my computer the elipses is just spaced between the periods.

Heh. My correction was made in my official capacity as a member of the Grammar Police. Monk's was more of a "citizen's arrest" :-)

Would it be possible to make a acid bomb if you took a car battery and put a timer on it, but instead of having it buzz, have it short circut the battery?

Depends on what sorta charge the battery has, a better bet would be to make it ignite a little patch of thermite or summat...

Yes, but only after an extended period, most metals/wire tend to burn up before the battery blows. As KJ said it would be better to remove the acid and ignite it seperatly (moltov cocktail anyone?). However, sulfuric acid is bloody nasty stuff, I really don't recommend messing with it if you have something better to use/do.

I believe that using sulfuric acid you can make nitroglycerin using sulfuric and nitric acid and glycerin.

Sorta. You can make nitric acid from sulfuric acid and salpetre, which then can be made into nitroglycerin.

Yah, but you gota get it going. Shorting works well because it makes it unstable, and sparking ignites it, however you need a really thick.heat resistant piece of metal, it'll burn a screwdriver through before the battery goes critical.

really? should i use a heavier metel like lead or nickel?

Nah, not always or that often, much more dangerous tends to be throwing them in fires or worse is the effect that extremely unregulated charging has on lithium batteries, youtube exploding lithium cells... Granted it's hard to force those conditions, realistically the acid in the battery could be put in a container and have something detonate under the container...

is the acid in a battery even that toxic compared to other acid? and is there an easy to get the acid out of a battery?

Reply 10 years ago

I don't think it'd be worth the bother, also acid bombs seems like a strange thing to attempt using, they'd be hard to make safely, not much more effective and possibly fail easily. Putting efforts in to standard ordinance would probably be more effective in the long run...
