What can I do with hydrochloric acid? Answered

I have about two gallons of 12 M Hydrochloric acid. What can I do with it? And I don't want to dissolve metal or put magnesium strips in it or dump baking soda in it. I'm looking for something creative, something interesting that I can do with it.

etch copper start fires make nitric acid make sulfuric acid create transition metal complexes test fertilizer for nitrates make iodine make heat... lots of it make hydrogen gas make chlorine gas (pretty dangerous actually...) and those are just off the top of my head, there are definetly more things than just dissolve random metal. check my instructables for a couple of those things.

Crikey! I didn't think 12M was possible as that's >43%. Nasty stuff anyway, I'll ask someone. L

12M is pretty potent! I'd love to get my hands on some...metaphorically speaking. HCL is expensive everywhere I've looked (ex unitednuclear is like 50 bucks for a 500 ml)

I think there is a way to etch pcb's with it... nurdrage has some cool ibles/youtube vids that lots of them require hcl.
