What do we do ? Answered

My friend happened to find this website        http://chelnyshops.ru/.  It shows many Instructables, but doesn't have the creater nor is there a link to Instructables.  Just wondered what all of you think.  It doesn't bother me that they want to repost it,but there is no credit to all of us.
I emailed support and they said that Instructables doesn't own our work ,so we have to deal with it on our own.  What is strange to me is that all the pictures and verbiage is on the site but no Name of the maker.

Just wondering! Thank you! The Juliart

Make a formal DMCA complaint with links to your original work here and stolen parts in russia.

Sorry to hear that. When my friend showed me the site ,I couldn't believe how many Instrucables were on there, None that I looked at had the makers name. Sad that people do that.

Thank you fou letting me know I hope you have a great day! Jewels

You could watermark your pics with your username, but it looks rather brassy and not something I'd resort to.

I've noticed a few of my pics on other sites, but mostly I just wash my hands of the whole affair, not worth the energy.

I basically publish to add value so someone spreading it further is not a total train smash regardless of whether they have my permission or not.

Thank you ! Petercd,

I felt the same way. I love sharing. It was only when I seen all the Instructables from others ,I was just thinking do we need to protect our community . I will just forget about it.

Thank you! Jewels

Most welcome, sometimes the Zen approach works best. :)
