What is the difference between a servo motor and a regular motor?

Servo grade motors are made better than conventional motors.  Stronger magnets for more torque, precious metal commutators, ironless rotors, all sorts of (expensive) enhancements.

If all you want to do is rotate a part something, at reasonably constant speed, all you need is a conventional motor.

i am not an awesome electricain, so could i use them without having to program them or something like that?

only regular ones, but i was thinking about puchasing a servo motor so i was doing some research.
