Why can't google find/ index my site? Answered

Please help me. I updated my site (ascas.tk) a week ago, since I made a major site reconstruction. This time google can't find my site. As usual I use google's webmaster's tools and added meta tags, still the site doesn't appear in the search engine. Is there something wrong with my source code?

Is there maybe a robots.txt that forbids crawlers to index your site?

There's none. I have this tag though: but I don't think it restricts the crawlers.

The robots meta tag should be no problem.

But: ALL your meta tags are not closed. Instead of

<meta name="robots" content="index, follow">

it should be:

<meta name="robots" content="index,follow" />

The slash '/' is missing in all of your meta tags.

I sent your home page to a validator service, ( http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fascas.tk ) and it found a lot of problems. Most browsers will try to autocorrect them but it may affect crawlers as they can't crunch the code.

If you have access to your web sites log, you can check if you have been visited by a crawler, Google's one is easy to identify. My site is visited by http://www.google.com/bot.html every few days (but sent away because of my robots.txt)

you're a life saver! thanks! Right now I only have 150 errors to solve :)

Oh thanks! I'l try that.

Ángelo, Google takes a while to update the indexes. Be patient, wait a few days.

I'l try that. Although I feel that there is something wrong with my codes. Usually when I update my site (before), It only takes a day or two for google to find it. Maybe I'l try to wait for one more week.
