AFAIK it first needs approval to be be published.

After that it is "in the system".

How and when it shows up in the searches seem to be dependent on the tags you use and the number of hits.

I would not worry if it won't show up now - it is weekend ;)

Give it 3 working days and all should be just fine.

No, moderation here is reactive.

The vast majority of projects hit the public lists within a few minutes of hitying publish.

Some get snarled in the automatic filters (which are checked by humans), and a few get flagged for review by members who spot something wrong (like copying others' work or being incomplete).

Thanks for the reply!

I know that the projects should be instantly published. All my other projects have. And i have been here long enough to know how the system works. That is the thing that this was the first to hit the filter and i didn't know about that it would take so long to pass the filter before publishing.

Anyway. I just have to wait it to be checked.

The issue here is the weekend.

If your project hits the filters during Californian office hours, you might not even notice a delay. However, it's the weekend, and most of the office staff are living their own lives.

If you think a wait has been too long (they're human, mistakes happen), just drop an email to service@instructables.com and they'll fix it.

All of my last projects were published in a few minutes after hitting publish so the "approval" is not in question. As the kiteman said "moderation here is reactive.".

Yes, the search is based on tags and if the search is based on number of hits you are right. The point is if i search my own user name the search engine wont show all of my projects. In this case it won't show the project in question. I't is published but not officially. So it is there but you won't see it unless you go to my page and click the link there.

I have encountered the same problem. I have always thought it just took some time to publish and post to the site.

It would seem you are caught in the filters, but I cannot see why.

It should be released by the end of Monday.
