found possible parts for electric bike conversion ? Answered

Hi!

For €100 i can get an electric skateboard which has 3 12v 10AH batteries and a 600w motor with belt drive to the rear axle.
Claimed top speed is 25km/h. Including is charger and throttle controller.

could this be a good idea?
I would need to mount the motor somewhere i still have no idea....

Where is the actual question? Of course it's a good idea, if you ned or want an electric bike!

friction is a little difficult, the entire wheel is covered and i do not want to ruin the classic look of the bike.

I think the only decent way is a front hub motor, ...
Damn i miss my old MTB that would take a 1000w rear hub easy :D

simplest conversion- put the skateboard wheel atop the bike tire. Press down. It now turns the bike wheel.
