more expensive than what? the v7.pde file is in /trunk/displayduino_code/v7/v7.pde I apologize in advance for the state of the code - there's probably several methods that are deprecated and there are never enough comments.

Looks pretty cool, but also quite expensive. You might like to add a breakdown of costs so people can see where the costs are and perhaps some different options to get people to buy them? For example a full kit containing everything, a kit with just electronics parts and laser cut parts files (for those with access to a laser cutter), just the laser cut parts (for those with access to a cheap electronic components). Just a thought.

You know what? I've thought about it and I guess I'll just have to set up a little online store where I can sell the full kit or the separate components.

Yeah i agree with your ideas , it would be helpful to do this , and easier for someone to build this if he doesnt have the amount of money that you ask for this is really nice though

Well, actually, if you look around at comparable hexapods for sale you'll see that they're all about the same price. The difference is that this one is comletely open source and uses off-the-shelf PCBs. Once you add in duties and taxes, other models can be quite a bit more. So while I agree that it would be awesome to be able to sell a kit forless, it doesn't look like it'll happen any time soon.

It's a good idea. I'm a little concerned people might buy bits that, when combined with what they already have, don't equal a working hexapod. A bit like those NASA teams where one group worked in metric, one worked in imperial, and the result was a giant ball of fire raining down on the florida coast.

Ha ha. True. Well... see how the sales of the full kit go and if none sell, see if selling the laser cut bits and electronics seperately helps. Will the files for the laser cutting be available to download? You mentioned it would be open source in the ible... or is that just the code?
