what are some good programs or freeware to remix songs effectively, also any good tutorials available?

remix is REALLY easy, all you need is the ear for it.. if you new, i highly recommend Pinnacle Studio. its great for videos, music, pictures, etc. all you do is slap the song in, and cut it up and splice it with some others. simple as that

First of all, you need to separate the voice tracks from the song itself. Sound Forge might do this, but I've never used it.
Like said, FL studio 8 is a great editing program, but it costs quite a bit. If you know how to "acquire" programs, then you shouldn't have a problem.

Just check out some of the nine inch nails remix website. REMIX WEBSITE. It's a great way to get started. They have some of their songs all tracked out, and they have a list of good free mixers. Hope this can help you out.
