i found some audio amp chips. how do i wire them? Answered

here is the datasheet:

i get pins 2-6, but i dont know how to wire the last three (pins 1,8 and 7)
help?

Follow steveastrouk's advice and google LM386. They are the same IC. The only difference between them is the manufacturer (LM is National Semiconductor while NJM is New Japan Radio).

Pins 1 and 8 are the gain control. Pin 7 is the bypass to help prevent oscillation (should you need it). See this answer for an explanation of the gain pins and another link to schematics.

thanks. and for future reference, should i treat any 8 pin chip labeled "386" as a lm386? if i do, thanks x2

The best way to treat any unknown IC is to look it up by the reference number printed on the chip itself. Even if you think it may be a similar chip, it is better to do some research first before forging ahead.

Treat it as an "LM386" and find circuits that way. There are millions. Steve
