iPod Nano 3rd gen haz DIED please help! Answered

Yes, that's right. I'm unhappy about it. I turned it on, and it worked, turned it off, then 45 minutes later, it wouldn't turn on. IT wasn't dropped, banged, or touched. It wasn't EMP'ed or anything. IT won't turn on, it won't synch to my computer, and no the lock isn't on. It's about 18 months old. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you see the screen before it croaked or was it in your pocket? This has happened to me :( Basically the battery has run so low it doesn't have the power to connect to a computer and start to charge, what you need to do is connect it to a wall power socket so it just gives it direct power and the iPod want try to turn itself on to sync. It will take a while to charge at first but after a couple of hours it will be back to normal. Also after charge reset it : 1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off 2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. Hope this helps, Charging and re-setting solves most iPod problems :D

. If there's not some magic combination of buttons to push for a reset, I'd try a different battery.

Checked with apple, there is indeed a magic reset combo, all's well!
