please help with terra cotta smoker Answered

Instead of using a hot plate for a heat source for a terra cotta smoke rwould it work to use a large diameter electric stove burner instead. i realize the stove burner is 220 volt but would it work hooked up to 110
i can get free stoves it's expensive to buy a good hot plate to take apart

Don't see why not, if you're careful around the terminations. On 110V, you'll only get 1/4 of the power you would on 220, which I would think would work quite nicely.
