solar watch winder ideas needed Answered
this is kind of lame, but somebody gave me a ROLEX as a gift. The problem is, i never wear it because everytime i think about wearing it the thought of winding it, and then setting the date and time is a deterrent.
there is apparently a pretty big market for watch winders that you have to plug in, and a decent market for lithium ion battery winders too.
what i want, it to build a little solar winder and sit it near my window and whenever the sun hits the solar cells it rotates the watch, keeping it charged.
i just don't know what i need to do to make it happen and the information i am searching for isn't out there.
does anyone know what i should buy, and what motor would work to rotate a watch and whatever piece of tape-covered sheet metal i attached the watch to?
