If you want to get know more information about Tunnel Diode visit our site, there are more information about this diode.

There are some interesting negative resistance projects at: http://www.sparkbangbuzz.com/ a very good site for cheap thermocouples too.
neat stuff.

and there is a way to put two transistors together to make a Tunnel diode like circuit such as: http://electroschematics.com/5150/tiny-fm-radio/

use the proteus isis from labcenter, works well

. Tunnel diodes aren't as popular as they used to be. You may be able to find one in an old microwave oven. . Can you use an IMPATT diode?

I can use a Gunn diode. who has them?

can you get one off a satellite dish? I COULD USE A SHCOKTTY BUT TUNNELS WORK BETRER LOOKS LIKE I USE TH SHKOTTY

Well for starters, we have an "if all else fails, find a replacement" guide

or

if accuracy is not overly required, one could Build their own substitution...

But here are a few places that say they sell them, but you will have to investigate them as to whether they sell less then bulk quantities or whatever:

AeroFlex - Metelics

Aveonics

Again, US Microwaves carries them, but.... you would have to research the selling practices.

Hmm, I am kind of shocked that Digi-Key does not carry them anymore.

You might need to resort to a place like this search house

As a last ditch attempt you can look into these guys: World Scientific

Or maybe you can find something at Sayal....but I didn't

A search for a source list brought up this meager list of places: List at the Chip Source
