weedeater repair and stuff
how would you fix a weedeater where it wont suck any gas in it has lost compression and you can actually hear grinding in the cylinder when the piston moves up and down and a screw stripped on the crankcase? and you cant get off the exhaust because it was like welded on.

Myself and Nacho' think this is knackered beyond economic repair.
Where did you find it?

Yea, that guy put it in the trash 'cos it's "buggered".
I said beyond economic repair, which means that you could, but it would be cheaper to buy one that works.

Broken, ruined, "can't be mended", bust, permanently damaged, wrecked, trashed etc.

. I'd fix it by selling it for scrap metal. :(
. Not pulling in gas is probably related to the no compression problem.
. No compression means: bad valve(s) and/or bad ring(s) and/or bad head gasket and/or cracked piston.
. The grinding could be a lot of things - all of them very bad. Eg, bad rings, bad bearings.
. You could probably live with the stripped/welded bolts, but the the others are killers.
