what can I do with 12V sealed lead acid battery's? Answered

If got a couple of 12V sealed lead acid batteries. What can I do with them? Perhaps A fun Tech project thing or something?
Because they are perfectly fine and I got them for free. I'm not planning on throwing them out, but I don't know what to do with them either.
So can anyone help me out?

1. Keep them charged or they quickly (a few months) become door stops.

2. Build a BIG robot use them for power.

3. Make a car - Impossible? No a bunch of 12 year olds built this one https://www.instructables.com/id/Building-an-electric-racing-car/

+1 on keeping them charged. That's the one thing people often forget about lead-acid batteries. If they're not stored fully charged and periodically topped off, they'll become useless.

It all depends on their size and capacity. Electric vehicles or robots are the first thing that come to mind.

If they are of suffient capacity, you could keep them charged and then used them with a 12VDC to 120VAC inverter during a power outage.

Any electronics project where you need a 12v source that can put out more current than a common bench supply.

the batteries are 7.2 Ah and if got one with 14 Ah or something. so using them for a power outage won't really work because they won't last long.

do whatever the hell you want, just remember, that the acid inside is 100% useless to you, so dont bother trying to use it for anything.

You could try some welding, which is a useful skill to learn, and will let you make some more interesting projects.

Electric bike would be a fun build if you can find a motor, or a portable power supply.
