what paints can be used on cloth fabrics? Answered

Most any paint can be used on cloth fabrics but it's their durability and wear that will guide your choice. Oil based paints may end up hard, dry and crackly. Most fabric craft paints are acrylic- easy soap water cleanup when wet, dry to a flexible coating if not applied too thick. Latex house paints will give a rubbery coating that tends to peel and crack when washed a few times. You can even do tempera paints but they won't be so permanent. Best are really fabric inks if you want to design on fabrics. Experiment and try to find out what suits your purposes best. Good luck.
