My computer does that when i get impatient and click "Next Step" without letting all the pics download. If i wait until my computer says "Done" i have no problems,

ERROR 500 is, as NM said, reporting a problem on the server side. I run into it very occasionally if I try to delete a comment I just made (e.g., to fix a typo), but the comment hasn't yet been propagated through the database.

We are not seeing such errors frequently, and certainly not when accessing routine parts of published I'bles. That leave a bunch of possibilities, mostly at your end :-/

Do you have all your PCs configured the same way? Do you allow cookies from I'bles? Do you have JavaScript (not Java applets) enabled? Is it possible that you're machines are behind an overly restrictive firewall?

How reliable is your Internet connection? Can you run a ping www.instructables.com command and see whether you're getting a lot of dropped packets, or packets out of sequence? That can lead to strange and intermittent errors when communicating with a server.

. 500 errors are server errors. Sounds like you're somehow sending a weird URL or your browser is causing communication problems. . Which OS are you using? Which web browser (and version)? Any plugins that might alter the URL sent?

. Only thing I can think of is cookies. Make sure cookies are enabled for instructables.com.
