where can someone get chemicals for a chemistry instructables? My instructable is on methane to methanol conversion. It uses a catalist and changes methane to methanol at room temperiture based on a peer reviewed reserch article cited in the instructable.

. Natural gas is mostly methane. Delivered right to the house for a lot of ppl. Or do you need high-purity methane?

I realy don't know... I think their would be left overs in the system thats all... Do you know where I can get the catalists or other chemicals?

If you've actually got a copy of the journal article you're in a better position than us to answer the questions. We'd do better if you could give us some more information. (Calalyst, research) L

their is a slight problem with that I have a BS in electrical engineering tech. and very little background in chemestry. I did get the article free from the library database at suny albany. Interlibrary loan or your libraries subscriptions could pull it up.

Yes, but I don't (yet) know what it is, and I don't have a Library-card anymore... Can't you tell us something about the process and catalyst? L
