Turn on Fan

The fan is one of the most coveted inventions of the 20th century. It is used for the cooling of the house, the person, or such things like that. It involves two simple steps after buying one from a store and taking it out of the box. While setting this up you need to keep in mind the necessity of a sufficient power source.

Step 1: Grab the Chord and Plug In

untie the chord until at full length. Find a stable place for the fan to stand on

Step 2: Flip Switch

flip the switch to desired speed

Step 3: Flip the Switch

this is the final step and has many options position so the breeze created hits you or flows through the room.

Please explain. You said to flip the switch to the desired speed, but I do not see a flipping mechanism...just a knob. To flip my knob, I had to get under it with a screwdriver and all that happened was it popped off without turning on the fan.
