This knot works well for fastening a rope to a poll, tree, or a ring.

Step 1:

Wrap the loose end of the rope around your poll or through your ring.Lay the loose end over the main rope.Wrap the loose end around and up through the loop.

Step 2:

Continue with the loose by wrapping it over and up through the second loop created.

Step 3:

Tighten.
