Introduction: Variation of Marriage Equality (tie the Knot) Necklace

Whether you're gay, know someone who is, or just want to support those who are, this is a simple way to show your support of gay marriage. Wear it with pride. This time I used 2 pieces and made a square knot instead of a simple knot with one.

Step 1: Supplies

All you need is clay, a pasta machine or rolling pin, and a knife or other sharp edge.

Step 2: Roll One of Each

Roll one of each color into a rope and gently push them together side by side.

Step 3: Flatten

Cut the ends so they're even and run them through your pasta machine or flatten with a rolling pin.

Step 4: Cut Into Two

Cut your flat piece into two.

Step 5: Roll

Roll each one so that you end up with two striped cylinders. Roll these against the table to lengthen.

Step 6: Tie

Start tying by folding one loosely in half. Fold the other one in half and set it on top of the first one facing the opposite direction. Take the ends of the bottom one up over the top one and stick the ends through the loop. Now gently work them together. Don't forget to leave a tiny space in the middle for a string or chain.

Step 7: Bake

Cut the extra length off the ends and bake according to the package directions.

Step 8: String and Wear

Put a string through the middle and wear with pride.
