To make paint removal easier, fill the bottle to within 1 1/2'' of the top with water, put on lid, freeze overnight. Works with any metal bottle you can reseal -- coconut water, beer, soda, etc.

Id like to do this with a monster can sometime, it has a larger mouth I think. These would make a great Geocache container, thanks for sharing!

Thanks and what do you mean by stupidly?

it's not all hard, although I recommend sanding an unopened bottle to prevent accidentally denting the bottle. I used 1000 grit finishing sand paper, since I'm not over fond of the brushed finish. To insure a good seal (the cap becomes a bit unreliable after awhile) I brushed a little latex around the threads. This really is an awesome stupidly simple project

try using the coors aluminum bottle they have a mouth twice as wide. so u could also fit lighters or whatever

Not very hard but it did leave some blue on my hands but i just washed it with soap and water and the blue was off my hands
