Introduction: Wooden Sword
this is a super easy sword to make. all you need is a dowel rod, a screw, a knife(optional), and a drill. first, cut the dowel to the length you want. then mark where handle ends. optional, to make the drilling easier cut out a groove where the cross piece will be. finally, use the extra dowel to be the cross piece by screwing it on the sword in the groove. this can be used as a prop our for battling, but don't hurt people with it.

it weighs about a pound and it is not balanced but if you use it with two hands it should be ok.

or, you could also use a dowel cross piece on both sides, then use another dowel of the same with as the blade, then cut int in half, then nail it in between the two dowels on the sides to make a bigger guard and balanced. and, if you really wanted to do more, you could then cut a angle in the dowel in the middle of the two dowels on the sides, then nail them in slanted up or down, with the angle you just cut up against the blade. that would be cool.
