Before starting - 

Note that the below diagrams were originally and carefully designed to make your experience easier throughout the building process. Nevertheless, we refrain from providing exact suggestions for tools, hardware, or products to utilize. These designs are genuinely intended for a do-it-yourself approach.


Nevertheless, we do offer some general suggestions when it comes to working with PVC.

First and foremost, it's essential to use tools specifically designed for PVC. When cutting or drilling, make sure to utilize bits and saws that are compatible with PVC materials.

For joining PVC pipe and tubing, many opt for the quick and efficient method of gluing. Be certain that any epoxy, cement, or adhesive you employ is suitable for both the materials involved and your intended application. And, as a constant reminder, prioritize safety throughout the process.

Step 1: Building the Wheels

You’ll need the ¾” Tube - 6.2” long, the ¾” adapter and the 10” wheel w/ tee black steel.

We’ll start with the wheel-base, we will build two of these.. 

You'll be assembling both wheels using the same method, so refer to the diagram above to gather all the necessary parts needed (x2).

Insert your ¾ 2 tube to the ¾” adapter. Then place the adapter into the 10” wheel w/tee. Check the diagram for reference. 

Once finished, you can set them aside until the moment arrives to attach them to the frame later.

Step 2: Building the Front Frame of the Wheelchair

For this step you’ll need ¾” elbow, ¾” Tube - 6” long, ¾” Tube - 3” long, ¾” Tee, ¾” Tube - 13” long, ¾” cap.

The diagram provided represents one-half of your front frame. Therefore, you must replicate the depicted structure twice (x2).

The second frame should replicate the one shown above, essentially mirroring it. In simpler terms, it should appear identical but in reverse.

Place your ¾” elbow to the ¾” tube 6 inch long. Add this piece to the ¾” Tee on the superior centered hole. On the right hole add the ¾” tube 3 inch long. Then on the other hole add the ¾” tube 132 long. Finally add to this the ¾” cap. 

Once you’re done, you should have the two completed halves of your front frame. We’ll come back to these later.

Step 3: Let’s Make the Side Frame of the Dog Wheelchair

For this stage you’ll need ¾” 4-Way Outlet, two  ¾” Tubes 7” long, and two  ¾” Wyes.

Now, it's time to construct both side frames of your dog wheelchair. Once again, the diagram above illustrates only the left side frame. Therefore, assemble it first. Subsequently, assemble another frame that mirrors the design depicted above.

Step 4: Let’s Build the Back Frame of the PVC Wheelchair Frame

For this part you will need two ¾ “ elbows, two ¾” tubes 5” long and a ¾” tube 14” long. The back frame of your dog wheelchair should be very easy. And you’ll only need one of these. 

Attach all five parts together as shown in the graphic above, and then lay this aside.

Step 5: Let’s Put Together All the Parts of the Wheelchair

We are almost there!

Let’s connect all the pieces together. For this last step, you’ll just need two additional 14” PVC tubes. 

Use these PVC Tubes  to connect both sides of all your frames.

Next, go ahead and connect your back frame and wheels.
